MacGyver Style Bomb - 2012-10-17

This show gives me hope for the future.

Xenocide - 2012-10-17

Full episode here:

This show is so goddamn impressive. It started out terrific but it's turned out to be far more intelligent than I could have ever expected.

Anagramother - 2012-10-17

Wow, Ice King was the goofball at the end of all jokes and, without changing the character, makes me want to tear up thinking about. If he were like cured of the crown's effects would be really beautiful. Great show.

wtf japan - 2012-10-18

The crown is his phylactery, so you can forget about him being "cured."

poorwill - 2012-10-17

I really hated this episode. I nearly couldn't finish it. Dunno what's up with that.

Xenocide - 2012-10-17

Take off the crown, Simon.

Simon, please.

Shoebox Joe - 2012-10-17

Xenocide, that's exactly what was going through my head after I watched this clip THEN the episode.

Hopefully they'll pull a Morel Orel, then maybe poorwill will have more will to watch.

Pst: Morel Orel thanks to Anagramother's insight.

Twitch - 2012-10-17

I teared up. This really is one of the all-time best cartoons of ever, and I know because I went into the future once.

Binro the Heretic - 2012-10-17

This show's greatest strength is it's ability to add depth to characters without fundamentally changing them.

Binro the Heretic - 2012-10-17

That was supposed to be a reply to Anagramother.

Shoebox Joe - 2012-10-17

I think that's what makes Adventure Time and MLP the real underdogs of this golden era. A lot of folks head towards Regular Show since it poses more of a dry, fo' real, this is obviously a modern experience, without actually following through. Less of the whole "I watch adult swim because everything there is meant for adults."

Sort of how folks go about how Team Fortress 2 is for kids and sink into the Counter Strike/COD/MW with all the perpetual rage that any unpolished, fat headed weiner with power issues will play out, all due to the thought that "this is more realistic than anything else."

Psst, Memedumpster, defend yourself.

memedumpster - 2012-10-17

The one time I can't find that jpg of the fat nerd with a pony tail watching Avatar then sticking his pony tail in a hamburger.

Binro the Heretic - 2012-10-17

So what is your choice for entertainment that makes you so much God-damned cooler than the people who enjoy this cartoon?

Xenocide - 2012-10-17

Refusing to enjoy anything makes him the coolest boring guy of all!

memedumpster - 2012-10-18

I enjoy this cartoon.

Deplorable - 2012-10-17

Amazing.

Spaceman Africa - 2012-10-17

It was all right

garcet71283 - 2012-10-18

This episode actually stuck with me for the rest of the day.

I felt like crap.

I loved it, stars.

Binro the Heretic - 2012-10-18

All episodes with Marceline haunt me since I heard Rebecca Sugar's original lyrics for the "Daddy" song.

For those who don't know, the song was originally about her eldritch abomination of a "father" Hunson Abadeer turning her into a vampire as a little girl then abandoning her in a post-apocalyptic world.

The network made them change it to a song about him stealing french fries off her plate.

Bort - 2012-10-18

It's probably for the best that they changed the song: the original version would have every kid from a broken home in tears.

http://www.poetv.com/video.php?vid=90925

Hell, I listen to that song, and it makes me feel bad for having abandoned my kids. And I don't even have any kids.

I have my doubts about this episode, though, in that it leverages one of the most played-out devices in comic books: to reveal that all the characters have a back story together. Captain America and Wolverine fought ninjas together in WWII to protect a very young Black Widow ... ? Whatever, man.

Triggerbaby - 2012-10-18

I'm beginning to wonder if one of the writers has a parent/grandparent with dementia.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-10-19

I can't believe how sad this made me.
