Agreed, it's clearly inappropriate teasing and in total bad taste. Not bullying as I understand the word. When did this word completely lose meaning anyway? Feels kind of like "absolutely": overuse.

Gallez - 2012-10-06

I thought it always meant ongoing harassment of a kid. It's not a legal term so the meaning is going to be flexible. But this is defiantly bullying.

asian hick - 2012-10-06

I'll bite. What is bullying "as [you] understand the word"?

Hooker - 2012-10-07

Forcing someone to eat cow semen.

chumbucket - 2012-10-07

Harassment, sure, then call this harassment and treat it as such. Bullying is about force and intimidation. Part of the problem with this report is the kid is clearly scared but none of the behavior that's happening on the bus is getting talked about here. School buses are notorious as places where kids get away with treating other kids like crap. If there's any real bullying happening here it has to be happening there not in some video of these two bozos mocking this poor kid. But I guess we're all supposed to come away from this story thinking offensive behavior is bullying.

It's fine that you want to have a specific definition of bullying, and I can understand and somewhat appreciate the distinctions you make, but let's not pretend that you're in the populist position here. Merriam-Webster, Oxford, and for what it's worth, Wikipedia all disagree with you on the definition of bullying.

Criminal charges?

BREAKING NEWS

BAD HUMOUR NOW ILLEGAL

Binro the Heretic - 2012-10-06

Criminal charges are too far, but I think we all agree SOMETHING needs to happen to that asshole.

Walker - 2012-10-06

"Hey asshole, you want something to limp about? I'll give you something to limp about!"

sosage - 2012-10-07

There was a time where it was socially acceptable to punch someone in the face over this and not wind up in the back of a squad car. Pressing charges is the modern replacement for punching a dick head in the jaw in public.

SixDigitDebt - 2012-10-07

I still believe in immediate wrath. The first instinct is usually the correct one.

Binro the Heretic - 2012-10-06

I think the hand of retribution is hovering over Mr. Bailey.

Someone figured out this guy owns a trucking company. Do you think this will affect his business?

Anyone have any guesses about the mosaics over the faces of the father and son in the home video?
My guess is that the network doesn't want to be held accountable in a civil suit for any vigilante justice against them.
I am pretty damn sure that the network is under absolutely no obligation to mosaic out those faces due to lack of consent, right to privacy, publicity, etc.

Anyway, taking the report at face value, whether this can fall under criminal charges or not, this kind of shit can get you killed.
