They start by contending that sports franchises have looted state and county officials to subsidize stadiums.

Absolutely true, and well documented. They did it by touting the economic benefits of a professional sports team on the local area, promises that were incredibly overblown and exaggerated.

That's just one industry.

It's fun to watch conservatives start to smoke from the ears when you point out that GW Bush's "fortune" is largely owed to a similar scam through the Texas Rangers. He even got TIF (that's Tax Increment Financing) to improve the stadium for his mediocre team before selling his shares.

But yeah, see also just about every industry involving fossil fuels, processed foods, nearly everything owned by the Koch Brothers, etc.

I'm starting to think super unstable third world hellholes have a better shot at a future than we do, since they lack a criminal infrastructure that can survive the criminals. Hope and change is easier in North Korea, I think.

According to Chris Hayes, it is now easier for a poor person to become wealthy in any European economy than it is in America. The American Dream is over.

But no Real American will believe this ever.

Is it bad that, on first glance at the title, I thought Moyers was going to interview Cave Johnson?

Now you might be asking yourself, "Cave, just how difficult are these tests?", "What was in that phonebook of a contract I signed?", "Am I in danger?". Let me answer those questions with a question: who wants to make ? Cash.
