HOW'S YOUR DOLL ANGEL

dementomstie - 2012-06-21

Is it just me, or does it look like they dubbed half the dialogue in this movie to anyone else?

StanleyPain - 2012-06-21

For decades virtually all Italian cinema never recorded audio while filming and all dialogue and sound was dubbed in post-production. So, pretty much anything Italian up until the 90s never used any on-set sound recording.

dementomstie - 2012-06-21

Oh, this is Italian. That makes the cheapness make a bit more sense.

There's "good" post-production sound recording and foley work, and then there's this movie.

A 20 year old character has the voice of an 11 year old, and a 6 year old girl has the voice of a 30 year old woman. One actor is obviously doing at least two voices, including the Oh Mammy Black Minstrel Chef which is a source for a whole lot of the laughter you'll experience while watching this movie.

You'll also notice that about 1/2 of all the diegetic sound in the film that should have been foleyed in was just ignored, making for an eerie pseudo-kung fu movie experience.

artistic pioneers of post-post-production

StanleyPain - 2012-06-21

Aggressively bad. I want to see it now.

Oktay - 2012-06-21

I was just watching this the other day. Awesome awfulness. Also: the full version used to exist on Youtube but I can't seem to find it anymore. Bah!
