Hooker - 2012-06-09

This band started out as a Nirvana derivative.

Hooker - 2012-06-09

Actually, Wikipedia tells me they were a band before Smash. Who knew?

citrusmirakel - 2012-06-09

I had the album before Smash. It was basically the same thing but with lower production values.

Cena_mark - 2012-06-09

They sold out. They're not punk rawk anymore.

riedquat - 2012-06-09

Duke Nukem is getting too old for this shit

jimmicampkin - 2012-06-09

It has to be a gag, although it's going to be an expensive and costly gag if it backfires and people think this is the new album direction.

Chancho - 2012-06-09

This is actually an improvement on their previous shit. Still awful, of course.

riedquat - 2012-06-09

Deliberately writing a song that you know is shit is worse than accidentally writing a shit song that you think is good.

Particularly when you clearly expect to make money off of it.

Fuck you Offspring.

chumbucket - 2012-06-09

The offspring should have been aborted.

theSnake - 2012-06-09

Looks like we've found the official jam of summer 2012. Well done, The Offspring.

Raggamuffin - 2012-06-09

They've been doing this kind of thing for years now. One or two throw away songs per album to release as a radio single. Am I the only one who remembers Original Prankster?

StanleyPain - 2012-06-09

Wow, that says a lot of really shitty things about the band if this is a years-old phenomena.

spikestoyiu - 2012-06-09

"Original Prankster", "Pretty Fly For A White Guy"... I don't see how this is that much worse.

Anaxagoras - 2012-06-09

"Pretty Fly For a White Guy" at least made me smile a little. This, though... not so much.

memedumpster - 2012-06-09

STABFACE trolled you all by posting a Blink 182 vide... oh.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2012-06-09

After Pretty Fly for a White Guy, Why Don't You Get A Job, and the rest of Americana, you're seriously surprised by how terrible anything The Offspring makes is?

Smash was their first good album. Ixnay on the Hombre was their last.

Don't get me wrong though, I like all their albums, and I like this song. I'm a big fan of terrible music.

Billy the Poet - 2012-06-10

Terrible band releases terrible song. This is news how?

fedex - 2012-06-10

some 90s thing

Stopheles - 2012-06-10

No, sir, you do not get to start a Black Eyed Peas song with a Ramones reference.

pineapplejuicer - 2012-06-10

really guys? cause the offspring were always a cool counterculture band, not a manufactured mid-90's "punk" group. jesus christ.

Stopheles - 2012-06-10

We gotta keep 'em agiTAted...

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-06-10

Damn, it was extremely painful getting through this. I've never liked the Offspring (esp. after that Americana crap), but I did really like "Self Esteem" back in the day. I mean, it had that classic bass and drum verse so typical of grunge and that completely Nirvana-ish chorus, thats essentially distortion and "heyyyooooyeahhhyeahhhhhaaa". Just thinking about it takes me back to watching 120 minutes in the basement.

themilkshark - 2012-06-11

I officially consider The Offspring dogshit.
