This wasn't perfect but I thought it was a pretty decent Punisher adaptation. I wish they'd adapt the Dark Reign arc when he was going up against
The Hood.
Her director's commentary is wonderful throughout. Here, in response to complaints that this scene is unrealistic, she explains that she specifically asked her ex-Navy Seal technical director whether it was possible for Castle to hang upside-down from the chandelier. "Of course he can do that," the technical director said, "he's The Punisher."
I highly recommend the "How Did this Get Made: Directors Edition" podcast of this movie where paul sheer j manzoukas and the lovely june diane rafael interview lexi alexander (the director) (she has a hot german accent)
Hooray, another HDTGM fan! Any episode they have somebody directly involved with a movie on is a lot of fun, but the Punisher episode is made even more awesome by the fawning presence of Patton Oswalt.
Another HDTGM fan, but definitely one who prefers the episodes where they pile on the vitriol as opposed to the fawning episodes -- even though I have insatiable crushes on most everyone they've featured, Alexander being tied for first with Neveldine/Taylor.
