TWO hamburgers? Surely, the festival is turned decadent in this latter epoch, and with it, the empire's fortunes.

Kabbage - 2012-04-26

Take them!

BiggerJ - 2012-04-26

This video is the Maru of food preparation.

American Standard - 2012-04-26

The tiny spatula and tongs.

namtar - 2012-04-26

You actually burn more calories making the food than you get from eating it, leading to starvation.

MurgatroidMendelbaum - 2012-04-26

We may need to import this for our children.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-04-26

Maybe it could be a Happy Meal toy.

What?

snothouse - 2012-04-26

I recoiled when I saw the "cheese".

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-04-26

I like to think that eating the powder straight is punishable by death in Japan.

Binro the Heretic - 2012-04-26

I doubt there are legal ramifications, but eating the powder straight could probably lead to death?

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-04-26

I'm actually not sure. Maybe the fizzy one, but the other stuff is like some combination of cake batter and gelatin, I would imagine.

If it did, I figure we'd have seen it on CSI by now.

Hamburg

Binro the Heretic - 2012-04-26

For some reason, this reminded me of something from "Futurama":

Fry is having a snack, he opens a box that contains three smaller packs. He opens a pack, takes out a chocolate cookie and puts it in a little device. He opens another pack, takes out another cookie, puts it in a different part of the device. He opens the third pack, and puts some sugar cream into the device. He then pulls a lever on the device, pressing the cookies & cream together to make a single Oreo.

RockBolt - 2012-04-26

Then takes it apart, eats the cream and throws out the cookies

themilkshark - 2012-04-26

Who puts ketchup on top of the cheese?

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-04-26

Annnnnnnd, you're now ready to feed your Borrower.

takewithfood - 2012-04-26

I must know what this tastes like, even though I'm pretty sure I'll regret it immediately.

Binro the Heretic - 2012-04-26

The video description says it tastes like real burger, cheese, ketchup, fries and cola.

mashedtater - 2012-04-26

i long to try it

BiggerJ - 2012-04-26

Enjoy. A warning, though: Golden Week just started in Japan, so shipping will take al ittle longer.

Rosebeekee - 2015-10-27

I tried this and it surprisingly did taste like a cheese burger with ketchup and fries. My only advice would be to make sure the water you use for the cola is very cold because it tastes very nasty at room temperature.

RockBolt - 2012-04-26

Okay, now that I've watched a few of these (out of what appears to be thousands) I can only surmise that these are some kind of zen exercise in instruction following and patience. Trusting that there is enough water. Mixing with tiny spoons for as long as it takes. Cutting straight. Finely shaping tiny objects. Presentation. All to end up with the caloric equivalent of 1/3 of a Snickers. I couldn't do it

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-04-26

They could be used to diagnose OCD.

Then the results could be used to diagnose eating disorders.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-04-26

What's even weirder is that there are kits to make miniature food that you can't eat. If I remember correctly, it's some kind of powdered stuff that makes something like Play-Doh which goes off/molds/something eventually, whose sole purpose is to make tiny, imitation food.

It's got a little more FX going for it, in that things that need to be "fried" will bubble in whatever the "oil" is.

White Trash Party - 2012-04-27

He sure has an odd hobby but it's oddly relaxing to watch him indulge in it in all his videos.

oddeye - 2014-03-16

McDonald's must take like 20 mins to serve up your order in Japan
