American muscle cars, and drivers, are deathly allergic to turns.
Also; idiots don't know that "performance cars" need "performance road surfaces". The cheapest possible paving used in american roads, cracked and patched for decades, isn't that.
The C5 and C6 are no slouch in the corners - their handling is pretty much world class - and this is coming from someone who hates Corvettes. Not as much as I hate misinformation, though.
Just bad driving. For whatever reason he turned too hard suddenly, maybe slipped, maybe he just over-turned because he didn't know how his car would turn at speed. When his car jerked left, he panicked and over-compensated by jamming right causing his rear tires to let go, which sent him into a fishtail the other way. By the time he got grip back he was pointing at the other car. Doesn't look like he even took his foot off the gas.
