If you take sixteen times the recommended dosage of a prescription sleeping pill, you are not going to have a hard time keeping your eyes open. You will not mysteriously develop cancer for no reason. You will die. I assume the defense that the supporters of homeopathy will levy is that by taking all the pills at the same time, the density of the medication reached a level where it could no longer use quantum theory to teach your cells how to be more sleepy, which is why it did not work.

Killer Joe - 2011-11-19

Yeah, tying your "art" to cancer isn't really a great idea, bro.

MongoMcMichael - 2011-11-19

If it takes two years for a single homeopathic dose to work, and I take a dose of argentum nitricum for a big date at the sock hop, does that mean I'll have a boner in 2013?

MIRACLES

fluffy - 2015-05-05

Did you get that boner?

Randroid - 2011-11-19

Demonic changes in voice pitch? Trace elements of Oats will cure that shit in a minute.

The raving nutcases in the comments are a riot. They claim that the Pharmacos are trying to hush up homeopathy because of the money involved. Yet it never occurs to them those same companies would save several fortunes if they only had to use one molecule of drug per gallon of water (or whatever these delusionals believe) instead of making all those expensively bloated pills and vaccines.

And thanks to the internet, I'm now almost sure that our society in the U.S., if not the world, is sliding back into the dark days of superstition and village idiots. I'm waiting for some group to start calling for the banning of cameras because they steal their souls.

Corpus Delectable - 2011-11-20

Well, where is your soul, Mr. Smartypants? Huh? Ever had your picture taken?

I thought so!

joelkazoo - 2011-11-20

Plants are plants, people are people.

Asshole.

Billy the Poet - 2011-11-20

Bullshit. I drank a bottle of fertilizer and got cancer, so explain that smart guy.

I met James Randi about a month ago. He gave a one-liner about a man who overdosed on his homeopathic medicine when he forgot to take it.

He told this joke five times because we didn't laugh the first time.

By the fifth time it was actually really funny.

Tim Minchin best summed up the flaw in homeopathic "logic":

"It’s a miracle!"
"Take physics and bin it!"
"Water has memory!"
"And whilst it’s memory of a long-gone drop of onion juice is Infinite"
"It somehow forgets all the poo it’s had in it!"

If it's true that water remembers everything that's in it, why is it possible to make polluted water clean by running it through a filter? If homeopathy is true, one would assume that all water would be perpetually polluted with everything that was ever in it, for all eternity.
